Damien Carr (born September 18) is a visual effects producer. Born in San Diego, California, USA, he began in the early 2000s as a Visual Effects Production Assistant on films such as Jurassic Park III (2001) and Men in Black II (2002), progressing through roles like Visual Effects Coordinator on Hidalgo, Son of the Mask, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest, and Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End in the mid-2000s.
Over time, Carr rose to more senior producing roles within the visual effects domain. He served as Visual Effects Producer on Captain Marvel (2019) and later on Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (2021), and also contributed to Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017), among others. Professionally, he has held prestigious positions, including Visual Effects Producer at Marvel Studios and SVP of Visual Effects and Stereo at Legendary Entertainment.
He received Visual Effects Society (VES) Award nominations for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 in 2018 and for Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings in 2022.
