Nicole Rowley is a Los Angeles–based visual effects producer. She gained early experience in the industry as an intern and production assistant on the film Charlie Wilson’s War (2007), which inspired her to build a career overseeing the visual effects process and contributing to creative decision‑making in film production. Over the course of more than a decade, she advanced from assistant roles to become a production manager and eventually a producer, working directly with film studios rather than at post‑production facilities.
Her film credits include working as Visual Effects Production Manager on Black Panther (2018), and serving as Visual Effects Producer on Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022), Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire (2024), and Supergirl (2026). She garnered particular praise from visual effects supervisor Geoffrey Baumann, who called her “an amazing partner” whose commitment was essential to the production of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022). Additionally, in one production noted for its ghostly visuals, she was identified alongside Baumann as the VFX producer responsible for overseeing the visual effects unit.
Nicole Rowley has also been recognised beyond her film work. In 2020, she was featured in a “Dynamic Women Award” profile, which highlighted her dedication, hard work, and progression from production assistant to producer over more than ten years in visual effects. The piece noted her commitment to sustainability, animal welfare, and a plant-based lifestyle, as well as her journey of coming out and the support she received from her community.
