Mario Krastev is a Bulgarian filmmaker, Assistant Director, and performer with over 18 years of experience across stage and screen. He has performed leading roles at the Sofia National Opera and Ballet in Boris Godunov, Borislav, and Les Misérables, as well as at the Dutch National Opera in La Traviata and The Rise and Fall of the City of Mahagonny. On screen, he has appeared in commercials, films, and television projects for international platforms, including a Coca-Cola commercial with over 30 million views and two Amazon Prime Video series.

Since 2024, Mario has been pursuing an MA in Film Arts at RUFA (Rome University of Fine Arts), focusing on directing, assistant direction, and production. In 2025, he trained at Nu Boyana Film Studios as a 3rd Assistant Director on major international productions, including a feature film with Film Forge Media ("SAMODIVA" by Giles Alderson), and worked as a 3rd Assistant Director on commercials by B2Y productions.

Following the work experience at Nu Boyana Film Studios, Mario went on to work as a 1st & 2nd Assistant Director on independent international film sets. He is skilled in set coordination, cast and crew management, script breakdowns, call sheets, and cross-department communication, and has completed advanced Assistant Director workshops, including Movie Magic Scheduling. Combining strong creative artistry with solid on-set discipline, he is actively pursuing opportunities in the Assistant Direction department on large-scale international productions.
