Thomas Edward Juson (July 11, 1929 - November 26, 2022), known professionally as Ted Thomas, was a British-born Hong Kong public relations manager, broadcaster, and prolific voice actor. He founded the company Axis International in around 1963 to dub foreign films for studios looking for English-language dubs. For the nearly two decades Axis operated, it is said to have dubbed several hundred films into English, typically with Thomas providing ADR direction and scripts written by Ron Oliphant, who he led the company with. Axis International recorded dubs for Shaw Brothers, Toho, Golden Harvest, and various other studios inside and outside East Asia until around 1981, when the company fell apart due to dwindling voice talent and the formation of other Hong Kong-based English dubbing studios like Matthew Oram Ltd. and Chase and Co. (later rebranded to Omni Productions). Thomas continued public relations work following the closure of Axis International, while still making occasional film and television appearances on camera and in voice acting through the 2000's. Thomas retired to Thailand in the 2010's, before passing away on November 22, 2022, at the age of 93.
