Vienna as a city in (worrying?) flux: this socially engaged documentary works as a subdued but heartfelt elegy to a multi-use Donaustadt building from the 1970s, evidently beloved by its residents and visitors but now threatened with redevelopment. It’s a finely etched microcosm of wider issues in the capital (and elsewhere), comprising judiciously framed and fluidly edited shots burnished by warm voiceover testimony from multiple unseen protagonists.
