My Boo turns the usual ghost story into a light romantic fantasy, following Joe as his inherited house leads him to Anong, a charming spirit who changes his life. Instead of relying on scares, the film leans into humor, warmth, and gentle emotional conflict about loving someone from a different realm, allowing its characters—especially Joe—to grow naturally. Though some CGI feels uneven and the pacing quickens near the end, it remains a sweet and heartfelt watch that values tenderness over terror.
