In Monalisa's home town, a small village in the middle of the rainforest on the Indonesian island of Borneo, many people are faced with a tough decision: Do I sell my land to ensure my family's financial survival and risk deforestation and environmental destruction by large corporations? Or do I stand up for the preservation of nature and suffer economic consequences as a result?
