
Seven Kawésqar still live in Puerto Edén. They are the last descendants of a nomadic people who inhabited the southern sea of Chile. Juan Carlos Tonko, together with his mother Gabriela, his wife Carolina, and three of his children, embarks on a voyage to the lands of his childhood to repeat the initiation rite as a hunter for Tomás, his youngest son, which will guide him into adulthood and also to Kawésqar survival in the archipelagos.
