On April 6th 1990, the Scandinavian Star leaves port. What should have been a regular cruise becomes a tragedy, and 159 people die. This is the story of the biggest unsolved murder case in recent Scandinavian history.

When the fire starts aboard the Scandinavian Star, panic erupts. Then, when the rescue mission starts, the water used to extinguish the fire threatens to capsize the ship.

Everyone thinks the fire has almost been extinguished, but at 3:00am, another explosive fire suddenly breaks out, burning a large part of the ship. On the docks, an extensive international investigation begins.

Norwegian police receive a tip that a convicted arsonist was among the deceased. The suspect is a Danish truck driver, and despite the lack of evidence, Norwegian police decide to name him as the perpetrator.
