A hiker's dog falls from a steep cliff. We meet roommates Kayla, Jason and Phil, and a tip on a six-month-old cold case triggers the team to bring out the rescue dogs. The military swoops in to assist with a nighttime rescue.

Two young children are lost overnight. Barry gets called out on Thanksgiving for a lone tourist stranded on a precarious cliff, and the team reflects on what it takes for a long line helicopter rescues. Later, a suicidal woman goes missing.
05. Code Alpha - Avalanche
A snowboarder disappears out of bounds. Ryan has a baby, and AJ's skill keeping volunteers safe in the snow is tested. The team faces its most challenging call of the year as an avalanche drags two snowshoer's down a mountain.
