Entertainment lawyer Daniella Hernandez, navigates the unruly lives of her rich and famous clients. Beyond her life as a powerhouse attorney, Daniella tries to get over her childhood trauma.

Daniella feels morally obligated to protect a young girl from a client she represents, while trying to manage how to proceed with a professional relationship with the man that killed Isis.

When Daniella saves her client from drowning at her grandfather's 80th birthday party, the reunion with her grandfather doesn't go as planned. When a movie director client relapses, Daniella is also forced to confront her alcoholic past.

When Ellis has a heart attack, Daniella tries to prevent Estelle from seizing control of the label. Meanwhile, she represents a provocative female rapper duo. She brokers a peace treaty between rival music moguls while saving the label from a lender.

Daniella refuses to believe that she is a target of Isis' mother, Misty, until she realizes their sorority bond is no longer relevant. Daniella must figure out how to deal with her cousin, Chauncey, who has his own plans for the Blackgammon label.

While dealing with the emotional aftermath of losing a dear friend, Daniella races against the clock to close an important deal for her biggest client, Zinzi. Additionally, she also struggles to maintain her sobriety in the face of a new threat.

Daniella finds a way to lure Zinzi to join the Blackgammon label. When Tamika's kids are abducted, Miguel, Somwon, and Jason band together to track down her estranged, abusive husband. Dom seeks street justice against Bobby.

Daniella becomes a pivotal player in Beverly's investigation to take down Zinzi's drug-dealing husband, Bobby; an involvement that has deadly consequences. Daniella also tries to help Somwon get out of a situation that could land him in jail or dead.

When the refrigeration system at a fertility clinic is compromised, Daniella and Beverly are forced to confront current issues and old wounds. They consider their plans for motherhood while navigating the ongoing conflicts that currently divide them.

Daniella finds out that Dom is an informant for Beverly, forcing her to make a choice. Discovering that Dom actually killed D'Trell Weeks, Daniella gives up Dom. Carol seeks revenge against her husband, who may be responsible for her parents' death.

When Daniella discovers Arnold and Ellis were part of the group that killed her parents, she makes a power play to wrest control of the Blackgammon label with Zinzi's help. At the label rebrand party, the mystery of Danielle's parents' is revealed.
