Aurora, De Zan's beautiful and intelligent daughter, falls in love with Coliandro. When he awakens from a coma, the Inspector has been invited to his home for dinner. Meanwhile, the team investigates a mysterious man, Salvatore Maria Moneta, known as "the Phantom," who, thanks to his quick-change abilities, always manages to escape from handcuffs.

Coliandro meets Thea, an ironic and provocative investigative reporter who, together with "Cinno", a young hacker, is investigating the affairs of Roman Kolas, an Uzbek entrepreneur who, under the guise of philanthropy, conducts very shady business.

Coliandro meets Francesca Maria, the elegant and refined museum curator who, with her seductive skills, always gets what she wants. Dazzled by her, the Inspector must confront Masino, an unscrupulous art dealer with a disturbed personality.

Coliandro, together with Jamila, a brilliant young French intelligence agent, investigates Tarantola, a seemingly perfect policeman who, through the fixer "Don Lurio", is the terminal of a gang of corrupt agents.
