Experts investigate the crimes of Jack the Ripper by starting with victim Mary Ann 'Polly' Nichols, a casualty of Victorian prejudices as much as the killer.

Howard and Kerry begin to question the strength of eyewitness accounts due to limited visibility when the crimes took place caused by to smog and poor lighting.

As the team continues their investigation, they come to realise that the myth surrounding the killer might be tainting the underlying truth.
