

Jim Dixon returns to Swinging Sixties London from working on the continent, having left England just as the fun was starting. The journey from Harwich with a pretty fashion model gets him more of the Swinging Sixties than he wanted.

Unemployed, staying with friends and looking for "swinging" work Jim's luck falters until he bumps into Lucy Simmons the fashion model again. With her contacts he's suddenly being interviewed for an advertising job he knows nothing about.

Still unemployed and wearing out his welcome at his friends, Jim twists the arm of an old friend to get a writing job reviewing obscure foreign films. Then Lucy gives him a way in to interview Cosmos the avantgarde artist everyone seeks.

Jim gets his own flat in Earls Court and embarks on the pursuit of his bosses secretary. Then his attention is caught by an Australian girl at the launderettes. Can he snatch victory from the jaws of defeat?

Jim meets the posh girls upstairs and gets invited to Blazeley Hall for the weekend much to the glee of his mother. Can Jim impress Lord and Lady Davenport and win their daughter's heart ?
