One day before retiring, tax inspector Sara Santano receives the most important assignment of her career. She has to prove that Celeste, the famous Latin singer, resides in Spain and owes taxes, which amount to 20 million euros.

The investigation into Celeste looks complicated. However, Sara gains two allies, Dani, a young and enthusiastic detective eager to work, and Tony, a paparazzo who has been following the singer for years.

Sara and Carmelo request authorisation from the tax agency representative to summon Celeste. However, the inspector encounters difficulties finding evidence that proves the singer lived in Spain for 184 days.

Inspector Sara runs out of resources to corner Celeste. Furthermore, she is affected by the investigation, which reawakens old ghosts from her personal life; Carmelo is suspicious about the inspector's methods.
