Meet You at the Blossom

“Meet me at the Blossom“, like "Kill to Love", is a historicizing Chinese series which many viewers would call bromance rather than BL. I know that this kind of series isn’t everybody’s cup of tea, but they are my cup of tea.

Whatever may be said against the storyline, which is very common in Chinese (non-BL) series – the production quality of both series mentioned is overwhelming. The acting is top tier, too, because Chinese series tend to hire experienced and very handsome actors – not only Li Le, who plays the lead role of Huai En, and Wang Yun Kai as Xiao Bao, but also Kou Wei Long and Li Yi Mu, who play support roles here, but who both later played lead roles in “I’ll Turn Back this Time“, a mystery series. Kou Wei Long also played a support role in “To my Shore“.
