As the extent of the epidemic dawns on her, Jolanta cautiously starts bringing allies to her cause — but one of them isn't being truthful with her.

After sending her family away, Jolanta goes on a tour of the smelting plant. Insinuating himself into Jolanta's life, Niedziela sets a trap for her.
04. Episode 4
Much to his frustration, Niedziela's attempts to intimidate Jolanta only strengthen her resolve to move the children away from the plant.

General Secretary Brezhnev's visit sets everyone on edge. A new discovery helps Jolanta to convince parents that their children are in real danger.
