The Cellar

A weak-willed man named George marries for money. When his wife Hilda has a nervous breakdown, George takes up with a scheming creature called Peggy, who makes him promise to get rid of Hilda. A second honeymoon in a country cottage after Hilda’s recovery seems to provide an opportunity, but a stranger interferes with George’s plans.
