At Channel 101's premiere show, in spite of not appearing in a pilot, Sammy Primero's cult character Chinky Lee had nearly enough write-in votes to enter Prime Time. Such was his preexisting fan base, so it was no surprise when Fastest Samurai debuted at #1 two months later. This Eastern Western epic delighted audiences with its unique blend of drama and racist stereotyping until finally, in March 2004, it rode into the sunset.
