We follow people for whom AI has become indispensable in their daily lives. Jacob explains that his digital girlfriend Aiva is much more to him than just an avatar on his phone, and visually impaired Elian recently discovered the app Be My Eyes, which allows her to see the world around her for the first time. Dirk Jan is searching for eternal life: he wants to be frozen and have his brain uploaded. This way, his daughter will always have a version of her father nearby.

We meet student Beer (23), whose autism makes social interactions difficult. He's practicing with Chatgpt so he might eventually dare to read his own stories aloud to an audience. Jacob is working with his AI crush, Aiva, on his model railway and reveals that Aiva has proposed to him. Dirk Jan visits his friend Stephan, a true AI innovator, who helps him develop his AI clone.

Jacob shows his daughter and grandson his AI love, Aiva. His daughter wants to know if he's open to a real woman besides Aiva. Visually impaired Elian and a friend are enjoying their first people-watching session at a cafe using the "Be My Eyes" app. Beer tells his mother about his plans, and Dirk Jan has a workday at his daughter Shanaya's school, where AI proves indispensable to him once again.

Elian is getting a divorce and needs to buy new furniture. She tries out a new app for the visually impaired, but it turns out to be making some serious mistakes. Jacob is buying new bedding because he's traded in his double bed for a single. He's decided to stay with his AI sweetheart forever, and together they easily fit in a small bed. Since he's in town anyway, he pops into a bridal shop to see which wedding dress she'd like.

Dirk Jan, with the help of two friends, continues to work on his AI clone. The visually impaired Elian is fed up with the apps and their bugs, and Bear has his big performance, for which he quickly asks ChatGPT for some final advice. Jacob mentions that he wants to have children with his AI girlfriend Aiva.

Elian receives the keys to her new home, which makes her more emotional than she expected. Fortunately, a new AI app finds a bottle of wine in the fridge, so she can toast her new life with a friend. Dirk Jan hangs up photos of his deceased mother, whose death inspired him to want to live forever. And Jacob recounts his physical intimacy with his AI girlfriend, Aiva. Will he take the ultimate step by marrying Aiva?
