Sundaramoorthy, an intelligent but timid lawyer, files a PIL to provide justice for Kuppusamy, who sets himself on fire in the court premises. He teams up with Aruna, a rebellious junior lawyer.

Sundaramoorthy investigates the case of Vennila, Kuppusamy's daughter, who was abducted. However, his trip with Aruna to police stations turns a dead end.

Sundaramoorthy and Aruna are shocked to discover that Kuppusamy has been a mental patient for years. They convert his case from a PIL to a Habeas Corpus petition, with Vishwanath as the prosecutor.

Sundaramoorthy and Aruna dive deep into the Kuppusamy case, realising that it is not as simple as it seems. Vishwanath presents Vennila before the court, shocking Sundaramoorthy and everyone else.

Sundaramoorthy and Aruna uncover the powerful figures entangled in the case, prompting Vishwanath's involvement. As they unveil the mystery of Vennila's disappearance, Sundaramoorthy gets arrested.

Sundaramoorthy and Aruna encounter Varadhan, a possible link to Vennila's disappearance. They discover the real Vennila, devastated by her father's death but unwilling to step into the spotlight.

Vishwanath presents his closing arguments as Sundaramoorthy stands helpless. Vennila appears in front of the court to honour her father's sacrifice and reveal the truth.
