The horrific true story of John Worboys, one of the most notorious serial rapists in British history. His modus operandi was to tell women in his cab that he’d won some money and then persistently offer them a glass of champagne, which he’d laced with drugs, and which rendered his victims unconscious. He was convicted in 2009 for sexually assaulting 12 women between 2006 and 2008, with their cases selected from a large number of suspected further victims.

Sarah is given a drugged drink by a cab driver. She is certain she has been raped. After months of feeling disbelieved by the police her case is dropped. He is free to attack again.

Laila, a student, is drugged and assaulted by Worboys. Despite CCTV, she appears to be dismissed by police and her case is dropped. Eventually, police spot a disturbing pattern.

After a police appeal, Worboys is eventually caught and convicted. Carrie waives her anonymity. Sarah and Laila, whose lives have been turned upside down, decide to sue the police.

Sarah and Laila win their case against the Met. As they rebuild their lives, Worboys is granted parole. Joined by Carrie, they must now campaign to keep him in prison.
