A Canadian family of explorers, known as Fara Heim, begin their incredible journey to uncover an inconvenient piece of history and answer the question of whether Vikings made it further inland in North America earlier than history has documented.

As planning for a northern expedition continues, the Farm Heim team starts testing the gear they will use in their bigger quest. Jo, Johann and David set out for Berens River, a place with potential clues of lost vikings that sits on the eastern shore of Lake Winnipeg.

The expedition takes the Fara Heim team near Bloodvein, Manitoba where a large boulder may hold a great mysteries of a lost Viking expedition. Meanwhile, Joe tries his hand at metal detecting near a historic fur trading fort, uncovering items - including an old coin - that may have repercussions to the local history.

Tensions build between team members as their search for the lost Viking continues, taking them into Minnesota to examine the fabled Kensington Runestone. Is there proof the lost Viking walked these parts 500 years earlier than history states?

The final expedition begins as the Fara Heim crew continue the search for physical proof of the lost Viking quest from more than 500 year ago. A trapper's letter and map from 1929 might hold the key to what happened to the Viking travelers.

One last push for signs of the lost Vikings as the Fara Heim crew embarks on their most ambitious mission yet. With Mack's departure, the remaining members of the team come across a site that is unquestionably human made. But is this the site they are looking for? Time is running out as this season finale looks to rewrite the history books.
