01. The trip
Gabrielle Vega was 19 when she travelled to Spain from the United States to improve her Spanish before starting university. Everything seemed perfect until she booked a trip with Discover Excursions, a company specialising in organising low-cost trips for international students. During the weekend getaway, the guide responsible for accompanying her invited her out for drinks and later sexually assaulted her. After many years feeling guilty and keeping her secret from everyone, Gabrielle decides to make her story public on a well-known television programme. She soon discovers that dozens of American women who do not know each other have experienced something similar. And they all have one thing in common: the same person - Manu White, the man who presents himself as 'the Prince of Seville'.
