The specials focus on an original protagonist and former assistant of Professor Sycamore, Alain, and his partner, a Mega Charizard X, and his quest to research and defeat every known Mega-Evolved Pokémon
01. Act I
Alain and his Charizard are on a mission to seek out and challenge Mega-Evolved Pokémon!
02. Act II
Alain and Mairin, along with their partners Charizard and Chespie, have just arrived in the Hoenn region as they continue their quest to unravel the mysteries of Mega Evolution.
03. Act III
Alain, Mairin, and Steven arrive at the Devon Corporation in Rustboro City, where they make contact with Alain’s boss, Lysandre.
04. Act IV
Upon returning to Lysandre Labs, Alain resumes his training to master the art of Mega Evolution. To test him, Lysandre has set up a gauntlet of ten challengers who can use Mega Evolution.
