All of the Wombles are excited to have their friend Obidos visiting from the Brazil Burrow. When Great Uncle Bulgaria and Tobermory are called away, Obidos offers to help look after things at the Wimbledon Burrow till they return.

The other wombles become sick of Bungo's repeated practical jokes and so, in turn, become sick of Bungo. He decides to show them how much they would miss him by hiding away for a while.
