Miniseries
In an alternate 1978 wherein Germany won World War II and has occupied the United Kingdom, successful television writer Peter Ingram works on a popular soap opera, An Englishman's Castle, set in Blitz-era London. Ingram lives a quiet, boring life, deliberately oblivious to the subtle rule of the local Nazis. His eyes are opened when the woman he is involved with reveals that she is not only a Jew but also a member of the Underground.
01. Part 1
More than three decades after Nazi Germany won the Second World War, the United Kingdom is a fascist dominated puppet state. Scriptwriter Peter Ingram pens the popular soap opera An Englishman's Castle, which is set in London during the German invasion of the UK in 1940 but his suggestion to introduce a Jewish character is met with fierce opposition from programme controller Harmer.

Ingram is confronted by difficult decisions of conscience.
03. Part 3
Ingram is faced with appalling alternatives, both in his home life and the state broadcaster.
